The exhibition “100 anni. Scultura a Milano 1815 – 1915” has been a great success. The curatorial project made it possible for the visitors to discover a relevant part of the Museum sculptural collection, usually stored. This exhibition is the result of an important restoration campaign run during the last year. The ten most relevant and beautiful sculptures of the exhibition are now becoming part of the museum permanent collection.

The sculptures selected to be permanently displayed in the museum rooms are:

Alessandro Puttinati, Masaniello, marble, 1846
Innocenzo Fraccaroli, Eva dopo il peccato, marble, 1862
Antonio Tantardini, Faust e Margherita, marble, 1861
Costantino Corti, Corradino di Svevia, marble, 1872
Filippo Biganzoli, Laudomia, marble, 1865
Giosué Argenti, La stella del mattino (L’Immacolata), marble, 1865
Francesco Barzaghi, Il primo amico, marble, 1868
Costantino Pandiani, La vendemmia, marble, 1876
Luigi Secchi, Al lido, plaster, 1893
Emilio Quadrelli, La gioia, marble, 1906

Furthermore, the display of several rooms and the light system of the entire first floor will be renewed in December.
