From 26th May the Galleria d’Arte Moderna is opening to the public in accordance with the new procedures of admission, as determined by the current health emergency Covid-19, in compliance with the Lombardy Region decree no. 547 of 17 May 2020.

 

OPENING HOURS FROM 26 MAY TO 13 SEPTEMBER 2020

The Galleria d’Arte Moderna is open to the public on the following days and hours:

  • on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The last admission of the day is at 5 p.m.

 

BOOKINGS

It is recommended to book the ticket on line at the following link https://museicivicimilano.vivaticket.it 
At the moment of booking, you can pay for the admission ticket.

To enter the museum, you need to turn up with your booking, either printed or in digital form, and proof of having a free pass, if any.

It is important to be punctual and, in any case, not to arrive more than 5 minutes before your admission time (to avoid gatherings).


LIMITED NUMBERS ADMITTED
Only a limited number of visitors will be admitted to the museum. A maximum of 130 visitors per day will be allowed in, spread out over regular turns (entrance at 11 a.m.; 11.30 a.m.; 12 p.m.; 12.30 p.m.; 1 p.m.; 1.30 p.m.; 2 p.m.; 2.30 p.m.; 3 p.m.; 3.30 p.m.; 4 p.m.; 4.30 p.m.; 5 p.m.)  Last visitor admitted at 5 p.m.

The visit may last only up to 2 hours.

The route of the visit is strictly one way with specific signage prepared for the current emergency.

TICKET PRICES

  • full price ticket              € 5.00
  • reduced price ticket     € 3.00

Free admission as from 2 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month.

 

Free admission is for:

  • under 18-year olds
  • high school students
  • people with disabilities and one carer
  • officials of state authorities and peripheral branches of the Ministry
  •  tourist guides and tourist interpreters (with proof of valid licence)
  • ICOM (International Council of Museums) members
  • 'Musei Lombardia Milano' subscribers
  • 'Musei Civici Milanesi' subscribers (3-day cumulative ticket) 
  •  those registered with the 'Amici della Galleria d'Arte Moderna Villa Reale di Milano - onlus'

 

Reduced price ticket is for:

  • over 65-year olds
  • university students and Fine Art Academy students
  • employees of Milan city government
  • European citizens between 18 and 25 years old; the same reduction is applied to non-European citizens on a "condition of reciprocity"

 

COATROOM

The coatroom is at present closed. Helmets, backpacks or cumbersome bags are not allowed in.

 

GUIDED VISITS AND LABORATORIES

Guided tours are allowed: the number of people of each group cannot exceed the visitors of each turn (in compliance with the Lombardy Region decree no. 566 of 12 June).
To have a guided tour, we ask you to subscribe the form sent by email and hand it at the entrance.

 

ADMISSION RULES FOR VISITORS
We would like to notify our visitors that, according to regulations currently in force, determined by the present health emergency, in order to be admitted to the museum you must:

  • wear a face mask
  • sanitize your hands with the sanitizing liquid which is available in the museum (at the museum's entrance and in the toilets)
  • allow for your temperature to be taken by the staff in charge; if your temperature is 37.5° or over, you will not be allowed to enter the museum
  • enter without any cumbersome or bulky bags and baggage, as the coatroom is now closed
  • respect social distancing (at least 1 metre from other persons) in the rest areas and along the route of the visit
  • follow the staff's indications, regarding the routes and the limited numbers allowed in, imposed by law, to allow for social distancing
  • follow the indicated route
  •  throw away any PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in the special waste bins provided

 

For Musei Civici Milanesi Season Tickets     

The Cumulative Ticket offers free admission to all Civic Museums for three days (one admission to each Museum) and is on sale  (no processing fee) for € 12.00. These tickets can also be purchased electronically and downloaded directly onto smartphones and tablets without printing.
